This month, we remember all those who fought and battled this disease. Transparency moment: This one hit home for me, but I am reminded of the strength, courage, fight, determination, love, and legacy that was left behind by THE STRONGEST man I know to date, my daddy.
I find joy in knowing we will meet again although he is missed beyond words on this side. I am a true reflection of my daddy in so many ways. my mom always knew it. I understand him now more than ever. I was not a daddy's girl; I was just a girl who loveS her daddy. 🕊️🕊️🕊️ I miss saying daddy.
Biblical comfort and encouragement:
2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV)
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (KJV)
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
For the soldiers who succumbed to this illness: As long as they knew the Lord in their hearts, lived a life holy and acceptable unto GOD, I assure you they are in a better place and wouldn't come back to this side for nothing. Why? They have had a taste of pure glory. We just need to be sure we reach the place they are and the only way we will reign with the Lord and see the Lord is through holiness.
Hebrews 12:14 (KJV) Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
