STAY IN THE KNOW💕
Hello my sisters in Christ! Are you current on your mammogram?
Have you had your yearly check-up? Speaking from someone who has lost an aunt to breast cancer and another aunt who survived, it has encouraged me to stay in the know. I know this can be a scary topic because I'm sure we all know someone or heard of someone who has been affected by this disease. Praise God! 🙌🏾 WE CAN STAY AHEAD OF THIS DISEASE. The best thing we can do as women is to stay in the know, get your mammograms YEARLY, don't miss a year, do self examinations, and if something doesn't feel right, get it checked.
Don't delay and please don't ever second guess yourself. Better safe than sorry. Why? Knowing is half the battle. I have had a few scares myself and because of my family history and breast type, I see a breast specialist twice a year in addition to a yearly mammogram. This strongly encourages me to stay on top of my check-ups . It's always a little nerve racking around these times, but I have to trust in the God who never fails. I have to encourage myself and remember it's always God's will. I have to anchor my trust and HOPE in him or I will live in constant fear and I know that is not the spirt of God. Don't let anyone tell you how or what you feel. Stay in the know and stay ahead. Breast cancer can be hereditary. However, there are some things we can do and if possible altogether avoid to decrease our risk of this disease.
⚠️Limit dairy intake. Dairy causes mucus.
⚠️Avoid processed meats (like bacon, sausage, ham, salami, and deli meats, which are linked to an increased risk of cancer.) Not limited to.
⚠️Alcohol
⚠️Added sugar
⚠️Saturated / trans fat (unhealthy fats found in fatty cuts of meat, full-fat dairy, fried foods, and many baked goods. Trans fat, in particular, has been linked to an increased risk of mortality in breast cancer patients)
⚠️Refined carbs (refined carbohydrates, found in highly processed foods, and opt for whole grains instead.)
These are just a few things we can do to and when all else fails, prayer and faith in God. Work on eating a clean diet because the food today is not the same as our ancestors. Amen. I rebuke any backlash from this post of awareness and I pray something is said to remind, inform, or give you that extra push to get tested even if you are afraid!
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
May God bless all the heroes, survivors, and those who are currently fighting this battle! You are not alone.
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
ALL THINGS. Amen.🎗️#hope
